What an exchange can cost

CostWhere you see or pay it
Provider exchange and payout costsReflected in the quote for the provider leg. Review the receiving amount, not just the displayed exchange rate.
Source network gasPaid by the wallet that sends the funding transaction. This is separate from the exchange amount.
Token approval gasPaid on the token’s chain if a wallet swap or staking contract needs an approval. An allowance reset may add a transaction.
Uniswap swap costsPool pricing and fees are reflected in the DEX quote. You also pay transaction gas.
Destination wallet-swap gasPaid by the receiving wallet when the route ends with an on-chain token swap.

There is no single fee percentage that describes every route. The exact pair, amount, provider and any wallet steps matter. The app reserves some intermediate ETH for gas; that reserve remains in your wallet rather than being sent as exchange principal.

Minimums, precision and available balance

Each provider pair can have its own minimum amount. Check the current quote; a minimum from yesterday or another network may not apply. Very small exchanges can lose a larger share to fixed payout costs.

Advanced amounts support up to eight decimal places, with a lower limit for assets whose precision requires it. Intermediate ETH is rounded down after the gas reserve. The displayed available balance is not permission to send all native gas out of a wallet.

For a multi-step route, the amount reaching the provider must still meet its minimum after the source swap and gas reserve. If it does not, the app stops instead of sending an underfunded order.

Wallet-swap price protection

The current Uniswap wallet flow sets a minimum output with a 1% slippage tolerance relative to that DEX quote. If execution cannot meet the minimum, the swap reverts. Gas for a reverted transaction may still be spent.

DEX quotes have short validity, and the on-chain swap uses a deadline. Get a fresh quote if the preview expires. A provider’s fixed rate does not protect a later DEX step from price movement.

Token approvals are limited to the amount required by that action rather than a newly requested unlimited allowance. An approval authorizes spending; it is not the swap or the stake itself.

Why a transfer can take time

A complete route can require source confirmation, provider deposit recognition, exchange execution, provider withdrawal and destination confirmation. A final wallet swap adds your own review and signature.

An estimated duration is not a settlement guarantee. Congestion, liquidity, provider checks and RPC delays can extend it. Status polling cannot make a provider process faster.

Balance and active order data refresh approximately every five seconds while the page is active. Wallet balances also refresh when you return to the tab. Background browser throttling and a slow RPC can delay what is shown.

Quote expiry is different from payment expiry

A quote review deadline tells you how long the displayed offer can be used to create or confirm an order. A deposit deadline tells you how long that created order accepts funding under its conditions.

If the quote expires before an order exists, request a new quote. If an unfunded order expires, create a fresh order and use its new instructions. If you already paid, track the existing order and retain its transaction hash; do not pay again just because the timer reached zero.
